Investorial Site Redesign

If you are a regular Investorial reader, you may already have notice the new layout design. I spent the whole day creating this design on my PC and finally felt it was ready to be ported to the site.

I was acutely aware that visitors using Internet Explorer 6 were having difficulties with the stylesheet I was using in the last design (shown in picture). I hope this version will remedy those issues. I really do like this design better. A little house cleaning was needed to throw away some unnecessary components. I will still be working on a few little tweaks over the next few days on the site. Please bear with any site issues while I finish the live re-design.

One of the guiding principles is to space things out a little bit. I rather like this version; already version 3 for Investorial. What do you think of the new design? Do you like it better than the last version? Have you found any bugs yet? Comments and suggestions are definitely welcome!

Update: Reverted back to version 2. I have to write a new stylesheet. I’ve put in a lot of work today already, so you’ll definitely see the redesign in the next few days.

Update #2: Version 3 is back up again, with a different stylesheet than the one mentioned in the first 2 comments. Apologies.

Update #3: Version 3 is staying. I’ve reached a settlement with Ben. Investorial goes on … Enjoy!

  1. Style Sheet? Says:

I’m sorry, but your blog design seems a little reminiscent of something that was unveiled by Ben Bleikamp just a little bit ago. Did he design this for you or did you just grab the stylesheet from him. Seeing as how your stylesheet is structured the exact same as his, it’s very suspicious.

I don’t want to bring up what happened in the past, but you should know better than this.

Why did the design take all day? I did all the hardwork - you just copied it from InsideWii.net. Nice try though.

I dunno….. seems that if you’re going to choose a style that forces 1024X768 screen size, you could drop a font size. For those of us using smaller screens, you might wish to narrow the space given to advertising (”Ads by Google”) and devote more space to your content.
