MSN Money contributor MP Dunleavey writes about her experience blogging about personal finance issues. She was mildly surprised by the enjoyment of the experience. MP discovered an online community of women, Women In Red, who blog and discuss about their personal financial issues and situations. They support and encourage each other, learn from the collective knowledge of the community. It’s great to see blogging put into such applications!

WowOwow.com has launched SHEconomics, a weekly column featuring the female financial guru Liz Peek. SHEconomics will be tailored and written specifically to educate the female audience about current economic situations and the financial crisis.

SHEconomis was founded on the basis of the comments and questions that Liz Peek received from readers on her wowOwow.com column Wall Street Weekly. Liz Peek noticed that many of the site’s readers were struggling to figure out what to do with their IRAs, and were in search of good stock advice.

This weeks column titled Hedge Funds: Apocalypse Now or the Quickest Route to Carrie Bradshaw’s Wardrobe? caters to women who want to learn more about the most exclusive testosterone-fueled club in the world. This is where the big boys play, risking fortunes on quirky bets and opaque algorithms and trying, more than anything, to prove who has the biggest, um, returns.
